CNC Maintenance Technician
The CNC Maintenance Technician role is primary responsibility is to keep production machines running. This includes completing installs, upgrades and repairs to existing and new equipment.
The role oversees the maintenance and repair of all facility equipment such as mills, lathes, facility equipment, etc. Establishes Part Maintenance (PM) schedules for equipment and ensures PM’s are performed in a timely manner. Minimizes down time by ensuring both in-house competencies for minor repairs and a robust pipeline for outside services.
Ensures that all environmental/facility permits and reports are up to date and filed in a timely manner. Oversees hazardous chemical and waste management. Ensures that various facility inspections are performed as well as basic facility maintenance.
Maintains records as required by OSHA, local agencies and internal procedures. Investigates facility and existing machine upgrades, including researching solutions, companies/products and obtaining opinions/quotes as needed.
Job Requirements :
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to operate a forklift, overhead crane and lifts. Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds, stoop, crawl and climb as needed for machine repair and maintenance. Ability to utilize meters, test equipment including scopes and analyzers as required.
Shop floor environment with noise (under 80 db), dirt, oil and grease. Walking surfaces may be slippery and/or uneven. Occasional exposure to oil/coolant and chemicals. Position requires individual to be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs., to perform activities in tight spaces. Typical work shift is 10 hours.
