Overview

Triumph Integrated Systems Electronics and Controls is a leading global independent aerospace fuel system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter and business jet markets.

Based in Forest, OH, the company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units and main fuel pumps for both the OE and aftermarket / spares end markets.

 

The Forest facility designs, engineers, manufactures, test and qualifies mission critical thermal and fluid management products, and provides aftermarket services for the most demanding Aerosapce and Defense applications.

 

This role is a key part of our NPI team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute on all New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.  Establish standards for Design for Manufacturing (DFM) relative to tool/fixture design and Manufacturing Machining Processes..
  • Designs, develops and implements tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, prototype model production and machine attachments required for production or experimental use with accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements.
  • Develops programs for machining parts, tools on CNC controlled machine tools (G-code) using engineering specifications, drawings and models.
  • Makes proper cutter selections with consideration for speeds, feeds, cutter types, materials and control system limitations.
  • Selects program routines for efficient calculation of dimensional and machining requirements for each part.
  • Refines and enhances products and processes by applying continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing /production principles and techniques to critical high-impact areas of production.
  • Ensures smooth transition of NPI programs from development to manufacturing.

Qualifications

- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Engineering and / or Manufacturing environment.  Preferred emphasis in Tool / Fixture design, CNC machining programming and New Product Introduction
- Strong knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
- Must be able to create and implement assembly/process documentation and provide training to personnel
- Working familiarity with MasterCAM, SolidWorks and Autocad
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
