Triumph Integrated Systems, Fluid Power & Actuation, a division of Triumph Group, Inc. designs, engineers, tests, manufactures and repairs complex hydraulic and hydro-mechanical aircraft components and systems for the aerospace industry. We are a global leader in the design, development, manufacture, assembly, and aftermarket support of aerospace hydraulic actuators and fuses.  Our operations touch all major players in aviation.

The Manufacturing Engineer will primarily develop, maintain and improve a comprehensive cost effective manufacturing process for hydraulic and pneumatic aerospace component hardware.


  • Develop, document, evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes to reduce Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), as well as increasing productivity
  • Develop and implement process controls to efficiently utilize personnel, machines, materials, information and energy
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop, coordinate and implement technical innovation to increase productivity
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in support of cost-out initiatives
  • Research, plan, justify and implement capital expenditure projects aimed at overall product flow increases and reduction of operating costs
  • Design, oversee fabrication and/or procurement of fixturing within budget
  • Provide troubleshooting shop support for inefficient processes and implement effective resolutions
  • Perform sustaining support for shop floor requests
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives as required
  • Create, implement and monitor key performance indicators and metrics
  • Design layout of equipment and workspace
  • Support company policies and procedures, goals and objectives
  • Support and promote a safe working environment


-  B.S. degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a ME role
- 1-2 years’ experience in a Machine Shop environment
- Strong manufacturing process knowledge preferably supported by a background of machining experience
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Ability to comprehend Design Engineering drawings
- Ability to comprehend Aerospace specifications, a plus
- Ability to manage priorities and achieve results
- Strong manufacturing troubleshooting/problem solving skills
- Strong Project Management skills, a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Proficient skills with CAD software and preferably some exposure with CAM software
- Must be detail oriented, thorough and accurate
