Overview

Triumph Integrated Systems – Mechanical Solutions is a premier developer and producer of electromechanical controls and mechanisms for the Aerospace industry.  These products include push pull controls, related gearboxes and interfaces; pilot interface controls such as throttle quadrants and control sticks; control levers for landing gear, flap spoiler; electro-mechanical uplocks; latches; hold open rods.  Products are used on fixed and rotary wing platforms, commercial and military applications.  Supplier to nearly every aviation prime and many major subsystem suppliers worldwide.

The Quality Director will be responsible for leading the Site Quality organization to drive best in class performance and drive a positive Quality and continuous improvement culture to effectively manage quality cost. This includes defining quality processes, standards, specifications, and other technical data necessary to meet manufacturing process requirements, FAA and Company quality requirements as well as supporting other functions in the pursuit of excellence. S/he will also oversee, monitor, and document employee training, performance, and compliance with Company policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include regular interactions with site specific high level customers.


The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation of the site business strategy as well as promoting close collaborative interactions with the Engineering, Programs, Operations and Human Resources management teams.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Site Quality organization is a full partner in driving company execution and improving site operations.
  • Identifying, addressing site level Quality Issues inclusive of escalation to the OpCp/ BU level as required.
  • Establish and drive Quality initiatives that advance improvement in both delivery and cost and ultimately support the site strategy aligned to Corporate Core Value Drivers and Business Unit / OpCo level KPIs.
  • Promote people development by actively engaging in coaching/mentoring, knowledge transfer, training, performance management and career development.
  • Actively interface with customers to promote positive, constructive relationships.
  • Ensure that the quality of products/processes meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Be responsible for administration of the site Quality Management System.
  • Ensure that audits, both internally and externally, are performed, true root causes uncovered and corrective actions are followed through to correct and prevent any deficiencies/discrepancies observed.
  • Provide oversight and reporting of Production Accountability.
  • Quality Resource Management and succession planning.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Master’s Degree a plus
- 8-10 years of Manufacturing and Quality Assurance experience in Aerospace or other complex manufacturing industry with exacting/demanding requirements.
- Strong experience and working knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations.
- AS9100 QMS body of knowledge experience preferred.
- Possess a leadership style that is effective at influencing organizational cultural change
- Demonstrated success at delivering superior business results through the effective execution of the Quality Management System.
- A solid compliance and regulatory background, including the administration of a Quality Management System.
- Accomplished in building positive relationships with co-workers, suppliers and customers.
- Possess Lean 6 Sigma skills and experience. A plus
- Familiarity with advanced Quality Processes preferred i.e.PPAP/ APQP/PFMEA/8D or A3 Problem Solving
