Reporting to the Finance Manager UK & Isle of Man, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for three monthly payrolls currently operated by the business, process improvements and ensuring standard processes across the business. The administration of the payrolls are outsourced using two different outside providers however a large amount of work is required in ensuring the accuracy of data and payroll queries supporting approx. 400 employees.

This role is also responsible for Company pension scheme administration and reporting.

Based at the new purpose built Staverton Facility near Cheltenham. Travel to UK & Isle of Man sites may be required.



    • Processing and collecting payroll data for three payrolls, in accordance with required deadlines
    • Liaison point for payroll provider
    • Overtime and shift collation
    • Responsibility for the Time and Attendance system
    • Administration of holiday entitlement and recording within the Time and Attendance System.
    • Administration and reporting of relevant Company pension schemes, including auto-enrolment
    • Compliance with, and completion of, regulatory and statutory requirements such as reporting and processing of statutory payments, pensions and auto-enrolment procedures, RTI, P45s, P60s and P11ds
    • HMRC/ UK and Isle of Man Government contact
    • Completion of all payroll and pension related National Statistics
    • Childcare vouchers/ Cycle scheme administration
    • Key point of contact for adhoc payroll queries including employee questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records
    • Accurate and timely processing, responses and record keeping
    • Compliance with Data Protection and audit requirements


Relevant Payroll Qualifications or qualified by experience
Good standard of general education including Maths and English
Desired Characteristics
5 years Payroll Experience Essential
Good understanding of payroll and pension scheme legislation/ regulations
Inter-Personal Skills with ability to communicate with non-financial professionals
Ability to work under pressure to deadlines, using own initiative
Flexible approach to working pattern required
Strong administrational experience
High accuracy levels and attention to detail required
Advanced Excel Skills

- Based in Staverton, Gloucestershire
- Travel to and working at other Triumph sites will be required
- Hours of Employment: 37 hours a week; flexibility will be required.
