    Production Planner / Scheduler -- Manufacturing 

    The Production Planner / Scheduler is responsible for scheduling and maintaining work center schedules, task and deliverables lists, producing reports, records and other essential documentation related to ongoing production and support of program management activities.  The incumbant must have a strong understanding of the production process and be able to generate and maintain effective daily and weekly schedules.  The Production Planner solves production problems, seeks to improve processes, and help fulfill customer requirements. 



    Job Requirements :


    • Review Material Requirements Planning (MRP) daily and create and release job travellers to the shop floor.
    • Create and release rework / split jobs as required
    • Create Return Merchandise Authorization’s (RMA’s) for customer returns
    • Maintaining schedules, task and deliverables lists by work centre
    • Regularly interface with Engineering Team to maintain accurate, updated information
    • Sales Order Entry and order acknowledgement as required
    • Preparing reports for management regarding scheduling activities, monthly schedule analysis and variance
    • Maintaining liaison with customer and management regarding scheduling activities and priorities
    • Prepare and maintain Line Of Business (LOB), get well reports and part status waterfalls for customers as required.
    • Attend meetings on projects, and inform relevant personnel about schedule and staffing statuses and requirements
    • Attend Contract Kick offs and Support and assist Program Management Office in capacity availability for new contracts/new business.
    • Daily interaction with production lead hands regarding jobs released and production schedules and priorities.
    • Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001 and/or CSAZ299 is an asset
    • Other duties as assigned


    - A certificate or a degree in Manufacturing, Planning, Business Administration or Process Engineering.
    - CPIM, CSCP designation is an asset.

    - Minimum of five (5) years planning and scheduling experience,
    - Strong ERP experience with Advance Planning and Scheduling required. Syteline experience a plus.
    - Working knowledge of the elements of project management systems
    - Considerable knowledge of planning and scheduling methods and procedures
    - Detail-oriented
    - Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
    - Self-motivated and goal-oriented
    - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    - Strong team player with the ability to handle multi-tasks at the same time
    - Ability to meet assignment schedule and deliver quality products under pressure
    - Sound reasoning ability and desire to acquire new knowledge and skills
    - Proficient with relevant computer applications including MS Excel, MS Word, Microsoft Access, Visual, MS Project, etc.
    - Champion for change, best practices and continuous improvement methods
    - Able to work in Canada, You are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
