    Planning Administrator / Order Entry

    The Planning Administrator / Order Entry role is responsible for entering new orders and updates to current customer orders, producing reports, records and other essential documentation related to ongoing program management activities.  These activities require the candidate to actively engage with the production team in the manufacturing area.


    Job Requirements:

    • Weekly download Customers Open Order reports from Customer Portals
    • Download purchase orders from customer portals
    • Sales Order Entry and order acknowledgement
    • Maintaining liaison with customer and management regarding new/revised purchase orders
    • Monitor and expedite sales order entry process and identify areas for improvement in process
    • Preparing reports for management regarding monthly demand analysis and variance in customer requirements
    • Attend Contract Kick offs and Support and assist Program Management for new contracts/new business
    • Assist production planners as required, including but not limited to job creation, job splitting, RMA creation
    • A working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and/or CSA Z299 is an asset.
    • Other duties as assigned including filing, scanning, etc.



    - A certificate or relevant experience in Manufacturing, Planning, Business Administration or Process Engineering.

    - Minimum of five (5) years customer service experience in a manufacturing environment. 
    - Experience in a maufacturing environment would be an asset.
    - Strong ERP experience. Syteline and MS Excel experience a plus.
    - Working knowledge of the elements of project management systems
    - Considerable knowledge of planning and scheduling methods and procedures
    - Proven hands-on experience with shop floor activities, challenges and work flow
    - Detail-oriented
    - Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
    - Self-motivated and goal-oriented
    - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    - Strong team player with the ability to handle multi-tasks at the same time
    - Ability to meet assignment schedule and deliver quality products under pressure
    - Sound reasoning ability and desire to acquire new knowledge and skills
    - Proficient with relevant computer applications including MS Excel, Word, Outlook.  MS Project, Microsoft Access, Visual, would be an asset.
    - Champion for change, best practices and continuous improvement methods
    - Able to work in Canada, you are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
