Shipper/Receiver will coordinate activities of the department in verifying and keeping records within the business system for incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment: Reviews shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routers, and rates.




  • Prepare CofC’s, packing slips, labels stickers and custom documents, as required, in accordance with internal work instructions
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of shipping documents and that orders are shipped from the earliest sales order line first
  • Coordinate with the Plant Manager, program managers, QC personnel and shipping team to attain delivery objectives
  • Arrange transportation for customer and supplier shipments
  • Manage customer portals, communicate open orders to the supply chain team
  • Update raw material files with shipment information, scan and file shipping documents regularly
  • Schedule/Coordinate, execute and expedite Sub Contract processing suppliers
  • Coordinate with the Planning Department and the customer to ensure that the oldest PO line is consumed first
  • Special project support as required
  • Provide support to other Logistics Teams as needed and interact with other departments to respond to their needs
  • Verify accuracy of physical inventory when needed
  • Verify inventory locations and availability for shipment against requirements specified in purchase orders
  • Verify inventory position daily and weekly against outstanding orders and sales forecasts and takes action to expedite inbound shipments to meet customer demands
  • Perform other duties as assigned


- Four (4) years’ experience in a similar role within a Manufacturing Environment, preferably in Aerospace or a Tier 1 supplier
- Strong communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs
- Knowledge of how the data entered within the shipping / receiving function impact the inventory and order management modules in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.  
- Knowledge of how ERP software integrates various functions into one complete system to streamline processes and information across the entire organization.
- Previous forklift, reach truck or hand truck equipment experience is an asset
- Safety conscious
- Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information

- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and other fundamental data based applications
- Proficient with data entry
- Proficient with an ERP system, (Enterprise Resource Planning System)
- The ability to work extended hours when needed for business reasons at month end or in times of urgent customer needs
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills with multitasking ability
- Able to work under pressure
- A confident self-starter with sound decision making skills
- Excellent problem solving skills, trouble shooting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
