Purchasing and supplier performance management of complex OE, legacy, and spares components for the Aerospace industry.
Management of the Supply Chain Workbench for timely placement of purchase orders and sub-contract orders for suppliers as required.
Ensure appropriate quality instructions and customer requirements are provided to suppliers
Coordinate delivery status, communicate internally and manage any recovery to support the business requirements
Ensure forecast data is obtained and updated into the utilised Business System
Manage total supplier delivery performance, support supplier business reviews and manage and monitor OTIF and Overdue performance metrics
Negotiating best cost, delivery terms and days to pay.
Support supplier selection process when required.
Completion of any work related tasks, which would be deemed reasonable of this role.
Based in Staverton, Gloucestershire UK
Travel to other Triumph sites may be required
Working at supplier sites may be required
Hours of Employment: 37 hours a week, flexibility may be required.
- Ability to read and translate Engineering drawings and documentation - Previous experience in a purchasing role is essential, preferably Aerospace but not essential. - Inter-operational process management experience, with a good knowledge of purchasing procedures, is essential - Excellent negotiating skills required - Good project management skills - Task / Achievement focussed - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines - Previous experience of using a Syteline system is desirable. - Successful applicants receive conditional offers to be subject to satisfactory references, DBS check and Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, a right to work in the UK and willingness to complete a pre-employment medical questionnaire.
