QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR / CMM OPERATOR POSITION DESCRIPTION
This Quality Control Inspector position is an addition to our growing team. The core working period is Monday to Friday and we have two shifts as well as optional Saturday hours. Overtime is paid after 40 hours per week and flexiblity to work alternative shifts and weekends is an asset.
The role will require working with managers, team leaders, peer-inspectors and machinists to ensure product acceptance in accordance with AS9100 and other aerospace, nuclear and commercial components.
The role includes the operation of a CMM and the completion of advanced manual inspections with a wide variety of tooling and gauging (Micrometres, calipers, shadow graphs, mold impressions, digital height gauges etc.). The QC inspector will create and complete QA documents and control plans in accordance with the plans.
The job may involve carrying out conventional and CMM Programming & Inspection of Aerospace, Nuclear, transportation and gear / spline First Article Inspection components.
It will also involve carrying out to First Article Inspection and report AS9102 Standards. A working knowledge of AS 9100 and ISO 9001: 2008, CSA Z299 will be necessary.
