Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Investigate and document root cause for non-conforming product as well as implement Corrective Action. Prepare First Article Inspection reports. Reviews internal and external procedures and specifications for compliance and implementation. Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective, for desired results.
